The Sri Chinmoy Centre offers meditation programs, always free. No donation is requested or expected. It is our hope and privilege to encourage individuals into their own process of self-discovery.
Free Meditation Classes
The Chicago Sri Chinmoy Centre offers free meditation classes as a community service. Our instructors, are long-time students of spiritual teacher Sri Chinmoy. Each individual must ultimately define their own style/method of meditation. As such, during our programs, you’ll learn many different techniques which you can then integrate into your own meditation practice.
New classes are offered regularly, usually (but not always) in the Roscoe Village neighborhood of Chicago. Each class series consists of one to four classes. Each class session builds on the previous session so your participation in all of the classes is encouraged.

Meet our instructors
A native of New York, Pradhan moved to Chicago shortly after he became a student of Sri Chinmoy 47 years ago. His entertaining, inspiring teaching style makes meditation easily accessible. He has lectured across the United States and in over 30 countries on the full spectrum of meditation and the importance of meditation in daily life.
Sukantika has been a student of Sri Chinmoy for 43 years. She started meditating in the late 60’s….
Ranganath has been a student of Sri Chinmoy for 45 years. An internationally-known artist for 35 years, and originally based in Santa Barbara, he now lives in Chicago. In his classes Ranganath emphasizes the spiritual journey through meditation and other disciplines.
